I'm starting to get the hump with Murray. Talk about from the sublime to the ridiculous. How could he beat Federer without conceeding a single break point in the whole match and then lose to Davydenko in straight sets? Source: BBCAndy Murray's misfiring serve cost him dear as he lost in straight sets to Russia's Nikolay Davydenko in the last eight of the Dubai Championships.
Davydenko, the fifth seed, won 7-5 6-4 to set up a semi-final encounter with Spain's Feliciano Lopez.
The opening set was nip and tuck until Murray lost serve in the 11th game to hand Davydenko the chance to go ahead.
Murray went 3-0 up early in the second set, but Davydenko responded superbly with two breaks to seal the match.
After impressing against world number one Roger Federer in the first round, Murray's serve fell apart against the world number five with just 59% of his first serves finding the target in the first set.
