I sincerely hope it's not the end of a great, because I always prefer to watch any player that has a single-handed back-hand and attacks the net. I think Roger is going through a bit of a slump in form - it's been win win win for the last few years but now there is Djokovic (spelling?) that I think will really push him on the hard courts. Federer will be back, but I feel he needs to get back to playing the way he was a couple of years ago where he was more incisive in his play - these days he seems too content to simply trade from the back of the court. I assume you meant this to go in the Federer Loses thread So, I've quoted your reply and responded there..

I like the optimism - a Newcastle away win eh?
What do you make of Keegan's return. I had my doubts when he was announced and you have to say things haven't started well. Have you noticed any improvement in the side recently?
I think they are in for a nervous run in. In fact, the same can be said of all teams from Spurs down. Here are Newcastle's remaining fixtures.
Liverpool v Newcastle Birmingham v Newcastle Newcastle v Fulham Tottenham v Newcastle Newcastle v Reading Portsmouth v Newcastle Newcastle v Sunderland West Ham v Newcastle Newcastle v Chelsea Everton v Newcastle
I seriously think they're going to struggle to pick up more than 10 points. That's three home wins against Fulham, Reading and Sunderland, and a draw with Birmingham. And that might be optimistic; I think wins against Fulham and Sunderland are bankers but Birmingham are strong right now and Reading could easily turn upset things.

It's almost impossible to judge Keegan on the performances so far. We've lost just about every game, winning none, and yet I really don't think any of it is his fault - the squad Sam had assembled was already sliding down the table. I think Keegan would have turned us around if we hadn't played Arsenal twice in a week away from home, losing both 3-0 despite playing well. I think that took the wind out of our sails. I'm pessimistic at the moment - I don't know if there is a manager in the world that could make this lot play well.

At last, victory is mine! Since there's precious little point displaying this forum in the news fader, it'll be removed this week. Can I make it two in a row? Can Jack regain his crown? Can teddy manage to post his predictions?
