After yesterday's vote by the Democratic Party's Rules Panel, it looks certain that Barack Obama will clinch the Party's nomination and will battle it out John McCain later this year for the Presidency. Two questions: 1. Who's going to win?
2. Of the two, who would you like to win?

I can't see how McCain can beat anybody at a general election, to be honest. He's simply too scarey even for the dumbed down public! 1. Obama 2. Obama - but even so, it's meaningless who wins to me - I think Obama winning will just give a period of slow-down in the trend of recent years, without actually turning back the years and making progress on matters like civil liberties.

I have a real sense McCain's going win. I fear that so many US voters actually buy into the media-driven need to engage in a confrontation with Iran that his perpetual war philosophy will resonate.
He also has a unified party behind him and and incumbent government capable, it seems, of doing whatever it wants to ensure they overcome the most challenging obstacles.
