If it's not Bush and his cohorts spreading lies about Iran, it's the Israelis. There is now a seemingly relentless push to demonise Iran; a hope that, somehow, all these lies will acquire some legitimacy through repetition.
This latest nonsense from Barak is right up there with Bush's recent suggestion that the NIE was wrong because it didn't reach the conclusions he wanted.

Senior Israeli minister Ehud Barak says Iran has already developed its nuclear program 'much beyond the level of the Manhattan Project'.
The Manhattan Project, which was conducted by Britain, Canada and the US, led to the development of the first nuclear bomb during World War II.
"We suspect they are probably already working on warheads for ground-to-ground missiles," Barak told The Washington Post.
"Our interpretation is that clearly the Iranians are aiming at nuclear capability... We think that they are quite advanced," the Israeli official added.
Barak's remarks contradict the December 3, 2007 US National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) which conceded with 'high confidence' that Tehran is not running a nuclear weapons program.
Political pundits say the report delivered a heavy blow to the Bush administration, as the US president had launched a major smear campaign in which he had foretold the outbreak of World War III in case Tehran were to be allowed a nuclear program.
Since the NIE was publicized, Zionists have attempted to negate the implications of the US report and manipulate public opinion about Iran to the extent that Israel belittled Washington for not obtaining permission for its release.
