All the videos and the BBC Widget at the top of the forum are making this site load slowly...

Sorry, niemz
It was the News Aggregator. It has been running fine until today. The problem is with the NA host, not with the embedded videos. As I write, the NA service has been suspended - not by me, but by the host.
I assume that, once they resume (and it re-appears here) they'll have the issues resolved.
As and when it does re-appear, if you still experience sluggish loading times, please let me know. However, I have viewed an awful lot of ProBoards over the past couple of months and, because I have little in the way of graphics (category headers and footers, etc) and forum modifications (resizing, etc), mine has been one of the faster loading boards, notwithstanding the widgets and videos.

It was still running slowly today, so I've made some changes. - The Video Table at the bottom is gone (all videos are still available via the 'Theater' button in the menu bar)
- The News Aggregator has been moved to the bottom of the screen, meaning the entire forum will basically be available, whether the News Aggregator has loaded or not.
- The News Aggregator has been moved from Global to Main, meaning it will only appear when viewing the index page.
I believe, given the theme of this board, the News Aggregator is a valuable resource, so I'm keen to retain it if possible. However, if you continue to have trouble, please let me know, and maybe I'll have to have a rethink.

Me too. It's really helpful and easy to use now.

Thanks for the comments guys.
I think it all fits together better now. Anyone who wants the news and economic data feeds can get it without having rammed down their throats. And by having the whole forum contained within a table, the skin has a better 'feel'.
That said, I am aware it's graphically naive I'm hoping that won't be too much of a problem. It's not the sort of forum that needs particularly sophisticated graphics and I'd rather give members and guests something new to read or do.
If you have any further suggestions, please do post them. As you can see, they're all appreciated, and many have and will form the basis for change.
