We now have a News Aggregator. Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with it; it's really rather good.
Along the top, you'll see a list of countries. Click on any one to get news stories specific to that country. At the bottom, on the right, you'll see a range of news item categories, which you can use to drill down to the topics that interest you most.
The news items themselves are displayed in bands of various widths, reflecting the volume of related articles - and thus, how topical the item in question currently is. Roll the mouse over one of the stories and it will give you a precis. Click on the item to open it in a new window.
You can also look back over archived news items using the calendar to the bottom left.
Note to Opera users: You might need to adjust your browser settings In order to get the News Aggregator to display properly. To do this, follow the following steps.
Tools> Preferences> Advanced> Content> Enable plug-ins
Then refresh the screen and the News Aggregator should appear.
