Many 9/11 conspiracy theorists argue the planes that crashed into the twin towers were flown by remote control with the 'controllers' operating from unidentified planes seen circling the vicinity at the time of the attacks. Debunkers claim the military didn't have the capability in 2001.
Operation Aphrodite, which took place in the '40s, suggests otherwise.
