There are arguments for and against this, obviously, but what's your take? Clearly Blatter is going to face opposition from Eurpoean Lawmakers but, leaving the legal arguments to one side, would such limits be generally positive or negative for the domestic game? And what about the international team? A recent report from the BBC showed the number of players eligible to play for England who started in Premiership matches last season was an all-time low - 170 out of 498. Source and full article: BBCFootball's governing body Fifa has endorsed president Sepp Blatter's 'six-plus-five' principle, which would limit a team's foreign players to five.
He wants to bring in the proposal by 2012/2013 - but the European Commission says it is discriminatory and illegal.
