You may already have noticed a new clickable orange box at the top of the forum with the words "Select a text and click here for speech" in it.
Try it out - it does exactly what it says in the box. Simply left click, hold and drag to select some text, and then click the button. A small box will open, and the text will be converted and automatically played back. Additionally, an mp3 file will be created, which you can save.
Not sure it has enough of a practical application to stick around long, but it's something novel and fun to play around with for a while.
